Biography

Shawn Allen M.D., a proud graduate of Palm Springs High School ,
attended the University of California - Los Angeles for her
undergraduate degree and received an M.B.A. from the University of
Redlands. After working as an engineer and section manager for a
Long Beach corporation, Dr. Allen returned to school several years later
in order to obtain a Medical Degree from the University of Arizona. In
addition to being a Family Physician, she is also a mother of two. Dr.
Allen has been a member of the American Academy of Family
Physicians since 1992.

Sam Lin M.D. attended Colgate University for his undergraduate studies
and received his Medical Degree at the New York Medical College.
His residency was at the University of California - Los Angeles where he
was the only resident to earn Outstanding evaluations in all of his
rotations. After his residency Dr. Lin chose to compliment Family
Medicine with a Sports Fellowship at the University of Kentucky . He
has been practicing in the valley for five years and plays an active role
in the community. Currently, Dr. Lin is the Team Physician for both
Palm Desert High School and Desert Christian High School. For the
past four years, he has been involved with the Indian Wells Tennis
Tournament as a volunteer physician. Recently, the 2005 edition of
Palm Springs Life selected Dr. Lin as one of the top 70 physicians in
the Coachella Valley. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Lin’s
favorite pastimes include cycling and spending time with his wife and
two children.
